The Yale Photo MFA Thesis Show opens this Friday in NYC at 25CPW:

“The Yale MFA Photography class of 2010 is collaborating with Helac and Wirth Art Advisory to install our thesis show at 25 Central Park West and 62nd Street.”

African Lens is a new website worth checking out. Recently posted is a piece about visual storytelling in Africa:

The visual story that needs to be told about ‘Africa’ is not a single story. It is a series of stories assembled to end the idea of a singular ‘Africa’. We need accounts of complexity, contrasts, and diversity that are drawn from the everyday as much as the exceptional. We need reports that are aware of their own construction and understand how they either affirm or challenge stereotypes.

    Congrats on Mare. I saw Mare magazine for the first time in Perpignan in 2009. Great editing and great pictures all around. Who wrote the article?
